Privacy Policy

Last updated: [INSERT DATE]

Succeed 11+ is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information with other organisations or businesses. This policy, together with our Cookie Policy, explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use this website or book a mock or course with us.

Information we collect

When you book a mock or course, we collect:

  • Your child’s name, date of birth and school
  • Parent or guardian name and telephone number
  • Emergency contact name and telephone number
  • Medical conditions or allergies relevant to your child’s safety during the exam
  • Any other information you choose to share that’s relevant to your child’s learning

We also collect information you provide via our contact form or when subscribing to our newsletter, and some technical information automatically when you visit the site (see our Cookie Policy for details).

Medical and health information is “special category data” under UK data protection law, meaning it needs extra care. We only collect this to assess whether we can safely accommodate your child during a mock exam, we ask for your explicit consent to this on the booking form, and we don’t use it for any other purpose.

Our legal basis for using your information

We rely on: contract, to process your booking and deliver the service you’ve paid for; consent, for medical/health information and for marketing communications you’ve opted into; and legitimate interests, for internal record keeping and responding to enquiries, where this doesn’t override your rights.

How we use your information

  • To process your booking and deliver the mock or course you’ve requested
  • To assess and accommodate any medical needs during the exam
  • For internal record keeping
  • To send you information you’ve asked for, or that we think may interest you, where you’ve agreed to be contacted for this purpose
  • To carry out our obligations under any contract between us
  • To notify you of any changes to our services

You can change your marketing preferences, or opt out entirely, at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any email. To request that your personal information be removed from our records, email admin@succeed11plus.co.uk; we’ll action this promptly, subject to any information we’re legally required to keep (for example, financial records).

Sharing your information

We share limited information with trusted service providers who help us run the business: Stripe, to process payments securely (we don’t store your card details ourselves); Mailchimp, to deliver our newsletter and measure opens and clicks; and Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our website, on an aggregated basis. These providers process data under their own privacy terms and only for the purposes described here. We don’t sell or share your data with anyone else for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your information

Exam papers are destroyed within 14 days of each sitting. Booking, contact and correspondence records are kept for [INSERT RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months] unless we need to keep them longer for legal or accounting reasons. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data in certain circumstances
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (including for medical/health data)

Children’s data

The personal data we collect about your child is provided by you, the parent or guardian, as part of the booking process, your child does not submit information to us directly through the website. We only collect what’s needed to deliver the mock or course safely, and we apply extra care to any medical or health information as described above.

How we handle complaints

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal data, contact us at admin@succeed11plus.co.uk, marking your message “Data Protection Complaint”. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and aim to resolve it without undue delay, keeping you informed of progress throughout.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

We take appropriate physical, electronic and organisational steps to keep your information secure and to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
